An infographic published by the United States Department of State shows that the United Kingdom is the top destination for online content on YouTube, with more than one million videos being created there every month.
In 2016, more than 3.1 million videos were uploaded to YouTube, a figure that has risen significantly in the past year, and in the next, YouTube will begin to allow for more content creators to upload their work.
The United States has the third-largest online content market, according to a 2016 report by The Digital Advertising Alliance, with an estimated $1.2 billion in annual online advertising revenue.
However, according a report by the Pew Research Center, the United Arab Emirates is the second most popular destination for U.S. content, with approximately 2.5 million YouTube videos being uploaded every month, followed by Germany with 1.6 million videos.
In the infographic, the countries top three video creators are the United Kingdoms YouTube channel, which has more than 1 million subscribers, followed closely by YouTube UK, which accounts for 1.4 million YouTube subscribers.
The United States and Germany have also recorded significant increases in the number of videos uploaded to their respective YouTube channels in the last year, with YouTube UK increasing its subscribership by more than 100,000.
However in the United states, the most popular videos are posted to YouTube channels by people who live in the country.
These videos are typically posted to the United-States-based video-sharing website Vimeo, which is hosted in the U.K.
The infographic also shows that people who have been living in the European Union (EU) for more than three years are the most common uploaders of videos in the EU.
In fact, the top 10 most popular uploaders on Vimeo are people who are at least six months in the UK.
